    Timin belt opinions

    Hi All,

I have a question if you don't mind. I am the owner of a A4 B8 2009 model year with a 2.0 diesel engine which have a timing belt never replaced so far.
The timing belt is the below one.
    https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bz...kc0S0ZHNEhEdm8
The car has 100k miles ( 160k km) on the clock and on the service manual I do have the following recommendation:
Camshaft drive toothed belt: Renew 180,000 km /no time-dependent . ( 112k miles or so)
I am now looking for you, if possible any opinions on the belt condition, would you think that right now is at the end of his lifespan or could I get a couple of more thousands miles from it?
    Thank you!

You'll probably be ok for a few thousand more kilometers, but I would definitely get the belt replaced several thousand kilometers before that 180,000k service interval.

    Hello,

Thank you very much for your quick answer. I was and surely am afraid of keeping it for 180,000k, hence I will do its replacement earlier. To be honest I am planning on replacing before 165k and the only thing was that I am planning on doing a long journey with the car at the end of this month for around 1500 km and that was the reason I've asked for a second opinion,as from my point of view this belt is looking good.
    Thank you again!

timing belt replaced at 164k km ~ 100 K MILES. belt was smelling similar to ash, tensioner was squicking :) vibrations were reduced after this replacement.
