2011 A3 2.0Tintake manifold flap position sensor(P2015)is it under warranty extension

Hey guys I got a fault come up today on my 2011 Audi A3 2.0T, P2015 intake manifold flap position sensor (bank 1). I had this same problem with my 2009 vw gti, got the intake manifold replaced under warranty extension from vw. My question is, does Audi also have a warranty extension for this problematic part??

So after speaking with Audi Canada. My 2011 does not have the warranty extension. why is this? Because it's a 2011 and have a revised intake with fewer problems and for that reason did not extend the warranty????? That's the only I can think of
