I know there are tons of articles. I first bought the A2DP and it works well but it doesn't push the audio information to the screen such as what is playing say for instance on pandora.. I did come across one that does do that. Does anyone know which one it is???? I cant seem to find it anymore.

I use a tune2air but song titles with Pandora are very glitchy.

per T2Air information, which means take it with a grain of salt, any music played through an iphone should work with the stock controls in the car and should push through information. on an iphone using pandora, i am not sure, but the controls should still work. on anything BUT an apple product it should still play but probably will not show information and probably will be problematic using stock controls.

This is what I use for bluetooth audio. While I don't use pandora, or any other streaming service to test it, I do listen to the music downloaded to my phone everyday and it transfers the information perfectly. Steering wheel controls and MMI controls near the shifter also work perfectly.

I had the original A2DP for Audi setup in my car, but the Belkin bluetooth receiver that came with it made the audio output very "tinny". I purchased a new Belkin HD bluetooth receiver from Amazon and the sound is fantastic now.

One issue streaming from my iPhone 6. If I have the phone connected to both the car and the bluetooth receiver, then the audio will skip pretty regularly. If I disconnect it from the car and leave it only connected to the bluetooth adapter, then it streams perfectly and doesn't skip at all. I've tried 3 different bluetooth receivers and they all do the same thing, so I've eliminated that as the issue. I even got Apple to replace my phone. New phone does the same thing. Anyone else have this issue??

Yep its been well documented on here that many others have that same exact issue. I can't believe you went to such great lengths over that. Would have been easier to search

Search doesn't answer why. I was trying to figure out the cause.

It seems like it's a problem with iPhones and the way they handle multiple bluetooth device connections. Many Android users don't experience the problem, so the signs point to the Apple hardware/software.

It came up when I was doing my research before purchasing the tune2air. You would have had to read through the entire threads on the topic.

Not just with iPhones, both my Samsung Note 4 and S6 Edge+ do the same exact thing. Otherwise with the a2dp4 it sounds great.

One thing I do notice is that if I turn the car off for a short period of time (few minutes, like pumping gas) for some reason the adapter turns off and I have to unplug it and plug it back in. Almost like it goes to sleep but not long enough for it to come back on when I re-start the car.

Is this with an iPhone? My Tune2Air will only show PREV and NEXT in the MMI with my Android phone. Song titles never show, unless I'm in the wrong area in Media MMI. I'm in "Tracks". The standard forward and back buttons ( >>| and |<<) work fine too.

Weird. I have a friend with an Android phone who doesn't have the skipping. Maybe it's hit and miss.

I spoke with the guy from A2DP and he said "Another problem that can cause sound quality or connectivity issues
is a specific Bluetooth software revision that shipped on a small
number of Audi radios that doesn't conform to the published Bluetooth
spec for device concurrency. In this case, the radio keeps
"spamming" acknowledgement requests to the paired handset, even when
idle, preventing the handset from always responding or sending audio
data to other paired devices (the receiver in this case) on time."

in fact, when i did unpair it from the MMI, the bluetooth stream worked fine.

Yup, assuming the S5 supports multiple Bluetooth connections. The Tune2Air plugs into the AMI port in the glovebox and basically tricks the MMI into thinking you have an iPod connected. The Bluetooth phone connection is totally separate.

From what I have read, the skipping issue is caused by the bluetooth connections (MMI and Tune 2 air, etc) fighting each other for priority. Only way around the issue is to disconnect from MMI. I also have an issue where the MMI system tries to default to my Iphone music every time I start up spotify. Not a big deal now that I am used to it, but what is annoying is that anytime I seem to switch stations on my sirius xm app or hit any button on it really, it goes back into my Iphone music. Apparently you also need to have at least one song loaded onto your music app or else the car doesn't recognize the device when you try to connect. Overall, there are a lot of issues with it that can't be avoided based on how the MMI system works and how the iPhone is programmed.
