    I am considering to do a retrofit.....I found a used (9000miles) sport diff from an RS5 for $399.....the control module is $199......

    wow, good luck. I would just sell and find the right car already with the diff.

    Nevermind..the RS5 Sport Diff (S-Tronic) is a 2.944 ratio.....the S4 diff for a manual trans is 3.68....It does look like it would fit though...a shame...

    Wow expensive if mine fails. But, just like transmissions, there must be rebuilt or salvaged units available for much less than new.

    Ebay : I found a used (9000miles) sport diff from an 2014 RS5 for $399.....the control module is $199......
    You can get the V8 engine, with the S-Tronic transmission, and the engine ECU for $12,000....that would make an interesting retrofit into an S4, but using a manual transmission.......
