Does anyone have any experience with these guys? They are fairly close to me and I want to purchase the APR tune for my RS7 but I haven't heard of them. I have heard great things about Red line speed works in NJ but they are an extra 2.5 hours away.

Thanks for any input or advice.

It's just uploading the file to your car. NGP has a good reputation.

Your location says DC. Wouldn't NGP Lorton be closer? NGP Aberdeen is a very good shop. They did a fine job on my neighbor's R32 timing service.

NGP aberdeen is the OG NGP if i'm not mistaken. they have a really really longstanding rep like 15 years with VW crowd. lorton seems to be run by a whole different group of people, not sure though.

NGP is quite expensive, and Induktion is very helpful even if you don't end up spending money there. The latter is something i value VERY highly as its not a hard rule, but generally when someone is as helpful as Ed has been around here / with potential customers like me (i have not spent a dime there), it bodes for a good relationship and customer service experience.

Another happy customer here for Ed and the boys at Induktion. Have not been to NGP Aberdeen, but I've been to their Lorton location. They do really good work too, but as some folks said, they charge a higher labor rate.

Also, if you're thinking about tuning an RS7, it's hard to ignore APR Stage 1. Kiku ran some ridiculous times with that monster, lol.

If you are going just for a tune just go with whichever tune you feel will be the right fit for you. Either NGP or Induktion will do fine.

I live down the road from NGP Aberdeen and went there for the first time the other week. The labor rate isnt bad, 85$/hr I believe. I will say this, I had an appt at 9am and they took my car back right away for an oil change and front sway bar install and that took 2.75 hrs while I waited. Seemed a little bit on the high side but whatever. They do have a good reputation and are very close to me.

If you have specific questions about the APR tune or any other upgrade for your RS7, feel free to PM me, email me ([email protected]), or call me (410-994-0000) and I am happy to help however I can.

Much like Ed and his team at Induktion, the staff at both NGP locations are more than happy to talk with you about your car and estimates for any work it requires- whether the conversation covers basic maintenance or aftermarket upgrades. We are all enthusiasts and always love to talk shop fellow enthusiasts!

I worked there for a few months, the techs are all ready good and the sales/service guys all really know their stuff. At least the ones that I know of who currently work there. I am sure the newer guys are good as well.

It is the same company, two owners, one works at each shop. I will leave it at that.

Late to the game, but I've been to NGP in both Lorton and Aberdeen (former for my initial tune; the latter for an higher level tune). No issues with either location. They did break the original Rev C DV, but that's because it's a POS diaphragm. So no issues at all with those folks.

Haven't been to Inducktion, but like Arjun, I appreciate when I can learn a few things and bounce some questions off, without necessarily having to spend money.

I've been to both induktion and NGP Lorton and I would say induktion takes the cake. The waiting room is a lot bigger and nicer and they are more friendly there haven't had a lot of good experiences with NGP

Ive been to NGP aberdeen and to Induktion (a few times now )

I have to say that i like both shops. Induktion doesnt have the wholesale/parts sale side like NGP does, but that mainly applies to VW cars. Induktion is that type of local shop that really gets to know their customers.

Here is an example, one of my upper screws was stripped on my upper strut mount and i couldnt get the right screw anywhere. I called Ed at Induktion and they squeezed me in same day to get it taken care of, and only charged me half labor for it. Its those moments that make the difference to me.
