    VMR 706: 19 x 9.5 et35 on a B8 S4!!!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have been perseverating over wheels that would be just the right look and stance on this car since I took ownership. I looked at anything from $2k each Forged wheels to cast 20x10 wheels.

Finally I decided to call VMR and talk to them about what they have to offer... I couldn't stop looking that the V706. It just looked aggressive! I got a hold of Tracy at VMR, not only did he answer ALL of my questions, but he went as far as taking a wheel out of a box for me and weighing it. The 19x9.5 et35 was over 2lbs lighter than the stock 19x8.5 Peelers!

That was all I needed! take a look at the outcome... I could not be happier with the way it turned out! Thank you VMR and Tracy! this is what I was looking for this whole time!

Edit: Zero rubbing: I'm on H&R Street Coilovers: 255/35 19 Continental DWS

Assume you don't have any adjustable control arms, just coils? Did you previously do anything preemptively to prevent rubbing like removing the fender liner screw, rolling the fenders, etc.? What finish is that on the wheels? It looks almost matte but expect it's their standard silver and it's just the lighting of the pics.

    Nice looking car.

I like the style of the wheels but not a fan of that color finish on a black car. I have VMR wheels myself, great look.

I agree a think a more gun metal look would have been better. do like the rim style though.

I have Vorsteiners with the same offset and size. When I purchased my Michelin PSS I went with a 265 series to fill out the wheel. No rubbing issues on stock suspension.

buahahahahahah!! ok ok .. Maybe I went a little overboard on the title. :D
    went to strip club?

anyhow, the pictures truly don't do it justice though. It looks a lot sportier than the stock peelers, its lighter, wider, and won't cost your first born.
so, it marks all the boxes for me.

Prior to this setup I had 20x10 monsters that weighed what 9 young fat kids should weigh. They made the car feel like a pig and I could not stop thinking about how much I hated it!

This is truly a great daily setup.

To the OP, I remember looking at these wheels when VMR released them a couple years ago and at first I really liked them, then my interest waned a bit but I still consider them. For me, they are nice looking wheels but maybe better suited for another platform. I have to say, though, that the fitment looks excellent with your ride height and alignment settings. I bet it looks mean rolling down the street, especially when you see the coarse pattern of the single 7-spokes rotating. Nice job.

I know this will bump an old thread, but I just wanted to say that this setup is what made me pull the trigger on some 19x9.5 et35 BBS CH-R wheels with Continental DWS06 255/35 tires. I also lowered it on H&R OE Sport springs on the B8.5 and it looks PERFECT! Thank you for posting the pictures!

I can also confirm there is no rub, except on the rear fender liner which eventually cuts through, even with 4 average guys in the car and paintball gear.

Do you at least like the CH-R's on my car if not the VMR's on OP's?

I do. I think I must of thought the thread title was a lil strong but fwiw the 706's look good & to be honest i am considering Bathurst's for my car tentatively which are sorta the same but narrower.

looking for something along these lines

Those are pretty sweet looking on this model. I like how every car has a different wheel that just goes so well with the style.
