my new S5 Armytrix?

so i just received delivery a little over a month ago for a brand new 2016 s5 sepang blue red black nappa interior black optics plus. i have lowered in on h&r oe springs til i get accu air installed. purchased a deval carbon diffuser Xpelultimate wrapped the car and am looking at exhaust systems. i have been leaning toward the Amytrix but hear complaints about it loosing power when valves closed, i don't really plan on running it at high rpms with the valves closed at all. i do want a valvetronic sonic type of exhaust, but want to make sure this won't fuck up the engine. 2 cents anyone? please have experience with the system

I have the Milltek ValveSonic on my B8 S4.
I prefer the look of the back box design compared to the Armtrix.
No sharp angles in the gas flow with the Milltek

Surely they all follow the same path under the car? Those two systems look to have the same angles to me?
The big difference is the back box design, the miltek is valved on the exit, the armytrix on the inlet to the box.

Who knows. They've been incredibly sketchy on this forum, but still consistently try to advertise their gear. I originally was going to go with Armytrix until I saw that nonsense, and went with Capristo instead. Haven't looked back!

While it was an isolated case, just look at how they handled it. Not a company I would buy from. If you're the unlucky one with a defective "one off", good luck lol

Also to note: Back when the interest was high, I was in contact with them about possibly getting a discount in return for providing before/after install pics/vids on and off the dyno. As soon as I asked them if they'd pay for the dyno, they disappeared on me.

eh I see where your coming from. I honestly don't see how they handled it badly, if that's where ur getting at. they didn't respond to him publicly possibly because they already been in contact with him through private email, and maybe they don't want to say anything and have another shit storm start. either way, if I like the product, ill buy it. maybe you don't have to buy it straight from armytrix, go through a vendor, and let the vendor deal with the company. if u have a problem, let the vendor know, and they'll take care of it.

Yeah I'd have to backtrack to the original thread where the OP went crazy and dissected his exhaust and Armytrix was being super sketchy in my opinion. However, it's not that important to me since I've already went with Capristo, so if dagman wants to dig through those threads, he can do that. You do provide a good point though and go through vividracing to have them deal with Armytrix. Hopefully they won't just be another link in the chain to go through if any problem arises and provide good CS.

i don't think they make an exhaust for the 3.0T .. best exhaust for your car is the AWE Touring Exhaust .. but since you like your exhaust loud.. maybe you may favor the AWE Track Exhaust instead

Yeah like doug said, I don't think they make an exhaust for the S5. To put things in perspective, I bought my Capristo through Mops for a really good comparable price to what an Armytrix system would have cost me. You can PM him about the info as I don't want to disclose his business like that. I believe Milltek makes a valved system for the S5, but I don't think it's as loud as what you're looking for. However, the AWE Touring on the other hand is great at achieving almost the same effect. The more you step on the gas, the louder it is. Two good alternatives! In the end, it comes down to your preference. If you like the Armytrix, by all means go for it. We're just shedding some light on their history over here.

It is valved and on remote, but by far I believe the priciest exhaust on the 3.0.

are you sure this is for a 3.0T? the video on that page is a Pre-FL S5 Coupe .. also the install video the shot of the motor is a v8 FSI

when i first watched the first link i was like wow.. someone finally did it.. made a v6 sound close to a v8 .. no wonder its $5300 .. then i saw the car come up the road and i was like wait wait.. that is a v8

bknewtype not sure which part you did not read. i contacted Armytrix direct before i put it on here and they responded by saying they was not interested in what i was saying. i even offered them to talk to the guys who had it on the rolling road again they did not want to make any comment to them.so yes i tried to reason with them before it got in to a slagging match on here and they responded with a loads off lies

Stick with Milltek or Armytrix if you want function, performance, sound, and to save money.

I do sell a lot of the Armytrix for all kinds of cars and my personal opinion is that it is the best all in one bang for the buck system you can get.

i think I'm just going to get the armytrix system ill call them with questions before the purchase..
if anyone has any info on how i can post pics easily ill post some asap
