Maybe I can help you out a little here. You have an '05 so your 1.8T came with this PCV valve. It's actually a PCV valve with a secondary breather combined into one unit. It's the same thing shown in the pic that Let it snow posted above.
On earlier models ('02 and early '03) there was only a PCV valve and no secondary breather line. Consequently the PCV valve looked like this.
And it plugged into a hose that looked like this.
So if you replace the combination PCV/secondary breather valve with an early model PCV valve you no longer need the secondary breather line that plugged into the back of the valve cover. Consequently the secondary breather tube on the back of the valve cover needs to be plugged off.
You need to take a look underneath your intake manifold and see if your PCV combination valve has been replaced with a "T" hose and early model PCV valve. If so, you are good to go.
