Unhooked battery, car wont recognize FOB

I was hooking up my power wire for my amp so I disconnected the below wire/nut circled in yellow. Once I reinstalled my key FOB won't connect to the vehicle, no lock/unlock/trunk.

If that doesn't work try this:

While holding unlock button, insert the key into ignition and turn to Accessory ON (not ignition ON). Hold for a few seconds and then remove key from ignition and stop pressing unlock.

I just opened my door using the flip key, started the car once then turned it off immediately. Right after my key FOB was reprogrammed and was able to lock/unlock my doors.

That's the only way to pair my key with the car. No amount of unlocking/locking the doors manually or just using the key will work. I have to go through the steps above for them to pair.

Did you leave the key in the ignition when you unplugged the battery? This can wipe keys programming quite often! Usually have to be reprogrammed via VCDS. If you do it in a Honda it wipes the immobiliser chip as well!

I agree with this. I've had to do it a couple times, and that's the easiest way to do it. Hold unlock, insert the key and turn to "ON" while still holding the unlock, and the turn it off and remove the key. Hazards should blink and the key should be good to go!

Thanks guys! Just cycled the key 4 times and it was back to normal

Whenever this happens to me I just spend 2 mins pressing buttons while putting the key in and out, turning to accessories, starting the car, yadda yadda.

80% of the time it works 100% of the time!
