    Just got this promo email from Magnuson. 3/36 or 5/60 limited powertrain warranty when you buy their supercharger kits.

    The verbiage on the link seems somewhat intentionally misleading. Seems like the warranty only covers their product but has been worded as such via clever marketing to make the reader think that they are warrantying the whole powertrain. Even if that may be, i wouldn't be surprised if the actual warranty contract hasnt been vetted by their legal term to be as airtight as possible in their favor.

    List of what is covered:

    Engine Components:

    Covered: Pistons, piston rings, piston pins, crankshaft and bearings, connecting rods and bearings, camshafts and bearings,
    timing chain and gears, intake/exhaust valves and seals, valve springs, oil pump, push rods, rocker arms, rocker arm shafts,
    lifters, SUPERCHARGER and supercharger system components up to maximum limit of $12,500. If a failure of any of the
    above parts damages either the engine block or cylinder heads, a remanufactured long block assembly will be provided subject
    to the maximum limit of liability applicable.

    Non-Covered: Any engine components not specifically listed, including but not limited to, factory electrical components, seals
    & gaskets (except cylinder head gaskets), finish on SUPERCHARGER; any parts, filters, fluids etc., that are required to be
    replaced as a part of your vehicle’s normal maintenance schedule as published by the manufacturer.

    Transmission Components:

    Covered: All internally lubricated parts within the transmission to the maximum limit of $2,500.

    Non-Covered: Failure of related parts external to the transmission which may cause a transmission claim including, but not
    limited to: electrical components; seal & gaskets; transmission coolers; levers; controls; any parts, filters, fluids, etc., that are
    required to be replaced as a part of your vehicle’s normal maintenance schedule as published by the manufacturer.

    Rear Axle Components:

    Covered: Rear axle, ring gear, drive pinion, pinion shaft, differential, side gears, bearings, bearing cap, washers,
    slinger, axle shaft, housing and housing cover up to a maximum limit of $1,500.

    Non-Covered: Seals and Gaskets; any parts, filters, fluids etc., that are required to be replaced as a part of your
    vehicle’s normal maintenance schedule as published by the manufacturer.

    Tuners used to have very appealing warranties like this as well......until they didn't. It's definitely not a bad thing to have this but, I wouldn't count on it being there if ever needed.

    tranny coverage only 2500? the whole dsg costs 5 figures from Audi...

    Be nice to see a stage 3 car run as advertised. That would make this warranty much more appealing imo

    Definitely need to see some hard numbers and major improvements from the "revisions" they made on the blower. Last I saw, they were getting destroyed by stage 2 cars....
    Now with dual pulley and E85 options and cars running 11.4's and APR also working on something to give "a real nice jump in power and torque" it becomes harder and harder to consider.

    awesome deal!!!!!! This is big responsibility for this kind list ! Respect to Magnuson's
    someone should try this stage 3 on build motor! OEM 3.0tfsi engine w/o modifications is garbage, i hope new V6 3.0 Turbo is well designed
