    C6 RS6 Bumper/Trim?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey All,

I've been looking for the past couple of months for the C6 RS6 front/rear bumper. No luck, searched forums, ebay, alibaba. It's incredible because there is literally none anywhere.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

Look at eBay in Germany or the UK, they pop up now and again but are expensive to buy and ship over if they'll ship to the US. It's almost more cost effective trying to find a custom body shop to build one.

I have been searching off and on for years on ebay.de and ebay.co.uk and everytime I come across one they are either missing the grills, cracked and beat up, or if they are in good condition won't ship to the US or want $2500+

What is crazy to me is there are a ton of rear bumpers, and a ton of actual C6 RS6 vehicles for sale for pretty reasonable prices. Where are all these rears coming from?

If I were able to snag a bumper, would my 2008 fogs/grills work in place of the non fog grills on this bumper?

No the standard A6 fogs and grills are completely different in size and shape to the RS6 bumper

Acutally, it is still available.... LOL
Along with the impact beams needed to mount it properly.

However, shipping to Australia from Canada would be the deal killer. It would be crazy expensive.

I was under the assumption that the RS6 front bumper is not a direct fit onto narrowbody c6 cars. Is that the case? or are the fenders the only "widebody specific" part of the front end

it isn't a 100% fit, there will be some gaps at the fenders, not too visible but at a closer look you'd see it...but with some proper tinkering it can be done.rs4.jpgrs62.jpgRS61.jpgrs63.jpg

So, I looked into it and it will be way over $1000 just for the shipping. Then, I would have to charge you what I paid to import the bumper from Germany to Canada. So, essentially you would be paying to ship it twice.

You would be much better off just ordering straight from Germany. Here is an entire RS6 front for 2400 Euro on eBay now.

    https://www.ebay.de/itm/Front-Bumper...frcectupt=true

If you have some cheap way to ship from Toronto, and can manage that part yourself, then maybe it is worth it. The front bumper (minus grill) and supporting posts and impact beam cost me a total of $2600 CAD. So, that is how much I would need for it, cash n carry.

Like I said, you are better off just ordering straight from Germany.

    Good Luck!

    hey!

I went through a lot of hassle and cost to have it imported from Germany. Then, I had to track down the support posts and impact beam separately, and have them imported as well.

So, as I mentioned earlier, I am not interested in selling it if I am going to lose any money on it. $2600 CAD ( which converts to about $1950 USD) is what I paid to import it, and what I will sell it for. That is cash n carry price, so any buyer would have to arrange their own shipping, or pickup in person in Toronto.

there is a China made version. Not really the same...they call it RS6 style.

but if you dont want to spend the big bucks on the real thing, then you can save a few hundred and go aftermarket. Almost guaranteed to cost you more after you factor in body work to fit, unless you DIY

I am waiting to hear back from DHL International on an actual quote, as the item is too large for regular UPS shipping quotes.

I do have Paypal, but for an expensive item like this shipped internationally, I would require full payment for item and shipping up front, in a form that cannot be reversed under any circumstance. In other words not Paypal. Would be something like Western Union money transfer.

The eBay seller that I linked earlier accepts Paypal. So, if you need to pay with Paypal, then you can always purchase from him.

Just heard back from my rep at DHL. Her first quote was $4k CAD. That is with my 60% discount. Then, she looked into another option and said she can do it for about $2200 CAD.

So, total would be about $4800 CAD plus packing materials. Like I said in the beginning, the shipping price to Australia is going to be crazy expensive, due to size.

You are welcome to arrange your own shipping. I am sure there is some freight service that would be much cheaper, if you investigate.

I used the following approximate measurements and weight for the quote. DHL calculated the volumetric weight, based on size. Actual measurments may be slighly different once packed. The weight doesnt really matter, its the size of the item that causes the high shipping cost

You requested a quote for 1 box:

    200 cm x 75 cm x 75 cm

    Actual Weight = 15kg

    Volumetric Weight = 225kg

volumetric weight calculations can be accessed at the link below
