Which Q7?

I'm replacing my 2005 allroad and narrowing down to Q7 from 2009-2011. Please share your experience with 3.0T vs older 3.6 or even 4.2 not to mention 3.0 TDI. Any recommendation based on year/engine? tks!

3.6 is a waste of money. it's a slouch and only yields 1mpg better than the 4.2.
most of the 3.6 came pretty bare without even having hid headlights. there are some that had minor options but if you're looking for all the bells and whistles 2010 4.2 or 2010+ 3.0t.
3.0t has nearly identical numbers to the 4.2L it replaced with better fuel consumption and the ability to upgrade with a tune and pulley and exhaust to extract even more power out of it.
