OEM shocks seem to be wearing out after 50k miles. Thinking about options.

Replacing the OEM shocks with Bilstein HDs seems to be close in cost to a full Eibach B12 kit or Vogtland coil overs. It's been awhile since I've shopped mods for this cars. Who is selling this stuff now? Any other recommendations? Not really looking for a drop but the better handling at no additional cost is tempting.

Bilstein B12 hands down, install and forget, no taking off wheels to adjust the ride height .5mm. I got mine from ajusa.com, $800 shipped. They come in two options, pro and sportline, the difference is the amount of lowering.

"Bashstein" is more accurate of those. Never again after having them in my B5. Switched to Koni, loved them.

Just installed the B12 kit on my B8.5 and couldn't be happier. Sometimes I wish it was a little lower but for daily driving it's perfect.

Seems like the kit they have includes Koni sport dampers instead of Bilstein.

How did your stock shocks wear out at 50K? Did you run lowering springs on non-sport shocks?

Mine are still firm at 100,000 miles.

Suspension is all OEM non-sport right now. The only thing I could imagine is that a lot of our roads are under construction right now and the conditions are bad. That could be causing premature wear.
