    CCM swap from late b7 into a 2004 B4

How hard is it to swap a B7 comfort control module into an 2003 and older B6?

Some stated you need to rewire the connectors as the two CCMs are different or does this only apply of the 2002 B6's?
Or is this more of a plug and play for the late B6's

What advantages does going with B7 CCM have for us B6 guys?...I read so far...reprogramming the wipers to adjust to speed and eliminating the extra swipe after spraying the windshield

    Anything else?

Does it help with the Steering wheel conversion to the B7/B8 model also?

    Thank

Don't have all the answers for you but later b6 it's more plug and play. Retrofit for the earlier. I believe the ignition is related to it with the key fob and those other setting will be done with a Ross tech but I am not sure what all it allows.
What ever makes sense go with the opposite and you got it

I see I saw something somewhere else saying there's something different with the windshield wipers not doing one extra wipe or something like that. I'm just More curious with the range and compatibility. From everything else I've seen in threads the:

    8E0 959 433 BT module (b7)
Should work fine i plan on using the b7 fob.
But I have a few from b6 as well
    The 8E0 959 433 BB
    Deferent years too
    2002
    2003
    2004

    BT version is 2005

But if one offers more range I would like to use that one. At this point I don't know if the range is even dependent on the module as much as the fob and antenna although.

Maybe true for the wipers, I think I saw that too somewhere. With the range, when I had my b7 the range sucked too. Even with new batteries. Others on the b7 forum have complained about it too. I don't fully recall but something about the shark fin? I don't really remember what they speculated but the range wasn't great for me.
