    Strange Noise

    alright guys so there's this strange noise that's coming from the passenger side, middle of the car. The best way i can describe the sound is that it's like when your drink is almost empty and you blow through the straw to the point that it bubbles. Sorry for the trippy description but that's all that came to mind . Here is a video i took of it to help you guys get a better idea of it

    So to be honest I'm not sure if its normal but I can't tell you i ever noticed it until the other day and I've had a few b6s over the years.

    I can't hear anything unusual on the video, but I do have to turn the TV up loud....

    Pretty much the only thing in the middle of the car on the passenger side that can make noise is the fuel pump and fuel filter. When was the last time you changed the fuel filter?

    i picked this car up about 8k miles ago, havent changed the fuel filter since i got it. Also no real service history to be found but all the things that i have replaced were OEM so im assuming it was maintained by the dealership. Also the noise sounds like its coming from the part that i pointed to towards the end of the video, is that the fuel pump?

    With the returnless fuel system the fuel filter also functions as the fuel pressure regulator. Thus the high $$ for the filter.
