    Bleed fuel system

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey all, first time posting. So I have a 4.2 l b6 s4 had a bad fuel filter which then made the pump go bad. Have new filter in and new pump in. I believe I have air in my fuel lines which will not let the motor start... Does anyone know how to either bleed the air out of the lines, or how to fix this issue...
Other essential info. I know the motor is getting fuel and I know it has spark and is cranking fine

    Thanks in advance

Are you sure that you have the lines connected right?
How many times have you tried cranking the engine after replacing the parts?

If you have cranked the engine a few times and it will not start then you likely have the lines connected wrong for the pump or more likely the filter.

I usually turn the ignition on, wait a few seconds, turn the ignition off and pull the key out, repeat three more times, and then crank the engine and it should fire right up.

it should bleed itself in a couple of prime-crank-prime "cycles"

if it doesn't , the lines one your filter are not installed in the same way as before.
