    Brakes Constantly Squeaking

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys I just bought an 06 A4 2.0T Quattro a little while ago and replaced the brakes because they were squealing. Now I've had a new set of rotors and pads front and back for the past month and still at low speed stops it squeals horribly. Is there anyway to stop this?

What do you have? Can take apart clean everything lube everything and rebed the pads to the rotors.
What ever makes sense go with the opposite and you got it

Op I was having the same problem unfortunately for this to stop you need to take off the pads and put brake quite on the back of the pads. this is the only fix i had to do that last week and it finally stopped. go to advance auto parts ,oreilys or autozone carry it and sometimes walmart.

What pads did you replace with? I put on some Akebono ceramics and always got that low speed squeal. After two months i finally picked up some OEM semi metallics at the dealership (same price, but came with new clips and caliper bolts which was nice) and my problems were gone as well as much better stopping power than the ceramics (i didn't think they would be THAT much worse, but they were). As these guys say, you can try the brake quiet as the cheaper first solution, but if the problem doesn't go away, you may be on the line for a better set of pads.

I had akebonos and they were completely silent aside from rattling in the carriers in the front over potholes.

Squealing sounds like something wasn't lubed or was installed incorrectly.

Mine were replaced with OEM as well and no it is definitely speaking sounds like the pads are going. I didn't use brake quiet though I could go look for that and try it.
