    Best Dash Cam Location?

So I want to install a dash cam, but I can't figure out the best place to put it. In other cars, I've been able to put it just behind the rear view mirror. However, this time the way the mirror mount assembly is installed to the window, it seems there is not enough to room to put the camera there (and an EZ Pass) without protruding below the mirror into my field of view.

I have a Blackvue dash cam. Anybody care to show their setup? Thanks!

Here is my setup, I have the blackvue dr650gw-2ch. I have it hardwired in to the fuse box. Here are some quick pictures I took that give you an idea of how I mounted all the hardware, also I don't have to worry about an EZ pass system, so my setup my not work for you.

Ok cool. I'll have to move the EZ Pass, NBD. I'll put my camera in the similar spot and see how I like it. I also have a V1 currently mounted below the mirror with the rearview mount.

I just installed my BlackSys CH-100B 2-Channel Dash Cam. I looked at the Blackvue but needed something with a higher operating temperature, and the 170°f operating spec of this thing is good for the hardcore Florida heat.

Here's a crappy pic, I'll probably do a full install and usage review next weekend once i have some drive time with it.

Note: I left my GoPro mount there for creative video lol.

Have mine in the identical location. It's definitely lower on the windshield than I would prefer, but really the only location without having the mirror in its line of sight. Even so, I can't see it at all when driving, so it's not blocking my view.

This is where I put mine. Up above the mirror and away from field of view.

I put mine high on the passenger side of the car. It's out of sight, but close enough to reset or turn on the wifi.
If the passenger doesn't like it, they can lower their visor.
