No, the needles can't make it into the gearbox. You just need to take off the gear shift knob and the cover plate to fish out the needles.

Hello guys, thanks for replies.I am tailor and thats why there were needles at my car.I forgot i put some needles over there after work and when i reminded,it was too late.I asked my kids where are the needles and they said "sorry we dropped them there".Today i openned the gear shift knob and i didnt see any needles overthere.i have a question. There is a little gap between the plastic and the panel as i circled at the picture. There is the only way to go for needles. Is it possible to needles to go to cogwheels from there and block me to change gear correctly ?

No because there is no physical connection between the selector and gearbox. Gearbox is electrically, not mechanically, commanded by control module, which in turn reacts to where you move the lever by means of sensors/switches. These needles must have wedged themselves somewhere in the works of selector.

I don't think it is a coincidence. Needles probably shorted electrical contacts inside selector box or somehow locked it mechanically, but they cannot get inside of actual transmission, that's for sure.

When i change the gear it showes the correct gear on the cluster and also correct light turns on on the gear shift knob.Thats why i dont think it can be a selector problem.I sent the car to the mech and i will see the results.
