    From AMB to AEB

Ok, so here we go, I'm thinking of building my A4 B6 avant a little, nothing extravagant, maybe bigger injectors, MAF and a slightly bigger turbo, I'm still not sure. However if I want a safe block to "play with" it sounds like I need to either do a rod and piston upgrade on the AMB or use and AEB motor. My only question is, how much will I have to actually change over to the AEB block from my AMB block? I figure since I really only need the core block and maybe the head then most everything, like fuel rail, intake, throttle body and so forth I should just be able to switch, I don't see why I would have to change wiring either. Has anyone done this or have any info on it? Thanks in advance

(Ideally I'd like to get my hands on a 24v VR6 for a monster build but I'm having a ton of trouble finding one, if anyone has one sitting around please PM me.) (also seeking 01E 6 speed transmission)

Why not just build another AMB block?

Cause I think it'd be cheaper to buy an AEB block instead of building a new AMB.

Build your AMB and do an AEB head swap.
then you can either swap everything to large port or port and polish your current setup
