Does anyone else have a problem with their cig lighter fuse when connecting a car charger? This is the second time I've plugged in my charger and the fuse blew. Please help

Where are you connecting the car charger? Under the center armrest? I have not had any issues charging from there, however I am not using any of the higher amperage quick chargers

He said cig lighter so that means the ashtray area in front of the shifter.

If you're blowing fuses two times I would suspect the charging device first. What is the model of charger? Have you tried using a new or different charger? Maybe the one you are using has a short...

I believe somewhere in the manual says you can only use the cigar lighter to charge for a short period of time, since it's not designed for charging. You'd better be using the 12v slot under the armrest.

They make a USB AMI cable that you can use in the glove box.

That thing is reactive, not proactive or current.

I'm talking about a real USB port located within the center console/armrest area; something easily accessible to the driver. As opposed to using some adaptor for a socket that was all the rage back in the Great Depression.

Where is the cig lighter fuse? 13 a5 premium and I checked the manual and it shows the fuse is in the rear passenger trunk location and that fuse seems to be good. Any input would be helpful, thanks
