I'm OCD bout wash/waxing my car and maintaining the black paint.

Took it today to Total Recon in Rockville today (SQ is one year old soon) and I can honestly say without a doubt that this is the cleanest my car has been since delivery! And this was the base detail package...

It was surprisingly short... Maybe 45mins to an hour? I just worked in the nice waiting area while they did their thing. They had enough dope car books and mags to keep me entertained for hours anyhow...

Nice but all of your original photos were taken from the dark (shaded) side of the vehicle. The other side would be ideal for a detail shot. 45 minutes seams rather quick though.

Gotcha man... Great point!

There were no swirls... Just clean black paint. I even shined my iPhone LED on the paint and it was perfect.

It looked like I hit it with Chem Guys Butter Wax then Blacklight... Here's what I do, and it looked better in the sun...

I'm really happy with the detail. They fixed swirls all over the car, 2 big scratches, and touched up several chips.









This door had a nice scrape from a shopping cart or something... Looks perfect now





Overall, this was well worth it. I'll be going back plan to have them detail the A8L in a couple weeks

Their site doesn't say they do any clay or contaminant work on any of their packages. Does the basic not include clay?

pretty sure you have to clay bar to polish the clear coat underneath the wax that you have to clay bar off in order to get to.

1200 doesn't seem to bad, just to get updated tail lights not including VAG programming (because i no iz programmer and don't know how to use ROSS-TEC) was going to cost me 2300

I was talking about the front that gets rid of the amber reflector/changes light pattern
