    Irregular idle

Long time lurker here, thanks for getting me through many of my DIY projects. I recently changed the gaskets on the oil filter housing and oil cooler and have been experiencing strange/irregular idling. I noticed this gray sensor seemed to be out of place, on top of that I accidently broke the snap that binds it together. While trying to diagnose the issue I left the car on/running and proded underneath the hood. I found that when I touch or moved that gray sensor the idle worsened and the engine shudderd. What type of sensor is it? Once again thanks for all you help now and with all the proir projects https://plus.google.com/u/0/10271939...96758320215286

That would be the engine speed sensor, crank position sensor, etc.

Thanks Denio24, after looking into that sensor I have read other accounts facing similar issues along with DIY. I appreciate it

Clean the contacts and make sure it is firmly seated.
