Back up cam and both reverse lights not working (changed bulbs, checked fuses)

I picked up a 2010 s4 premium plus 6mt not too long ago. Notice right away that the back up cam didn't work, and found out later that day that the back up lights didn't work either. When I asked the sales guy he said that's how the car came traded in. Like I've mentioned in the title I checked the fuse, and changed the bulb. I've gone through a lot of these forms and no one seems to have the same issues but if i missed something please helf direct me to the right olace because ive spent hours looking for anything on tbis issue. Any one experienced these issues? Any info will help thx.

i'd remove the trunk lid cover to check the wiring connections

Sounds like prob the switch/sensor on the shifter itself not recognizing the car is in reverse?
Why are you talking to the sales guy? His job is done. No sh*t that's how the car came LOL... you need to talk with service... Is the car CPO or do you have a 30 day warranty coverage with purchase as many states mandate on used cars?

I bought the car in sep so it's been some time... I haven't drove it during the winter months too much but now that it's warm out I'm planing to get everything up and ready. I was also assuming the backup sensor as well after reading some forms...
