Would like to have my window trim and grille trim either painted, plastidipped, or wrapped. Anyone have any experience with this? Trim is currently chrome and I would like to go to black. Lmk which method you guys think will work best and if someone has had it done and could give me a price quote that would b awesome. Thanks guys

I think wrapping it would be best. I wouldn't dip it.

I just ordered shadowline vinyl I'm going to have a crack at doing mine. I've done vinyl before but we'll see. Where in PA are you?

^^ Shadowline is what I did too, is kind of a bitch if you're not experienced with vinyl.. But you'll get the hang of it. Just you'll probably want to buy an extra roll or so because trust me, you're gonna mess up haha.

I did use a large sheet of 3m vinyl for my grille though, easier to work with than Shadowline but it comes in large sheets rather than rolls, so it's less useful for wrapping your trim with.

Located around Allentown Bethlehem area. I guess I'll look into shadowline too. I have no experience with wrapping vinyl tho.

Just a tip: cut the shadowline vinyl into thin strips that are a bit wider than the trim. It makes it MUCH easier to apply and you get 3x the material to work with in case you mess up.

Is it easy to bend and curve the shadowline with the trim above the windows on the side of the car or do u have to cut it in sections and seam it together?

Use a heat gun, plenty of soapy water and stretch it where you want it to go.
