Had a pretty decent night on starting my CVT to 5spd swap

Gave up on my 03 Cabby's CVT after replacement of the TCM four months ago and now I have the clutch pack failure.
Found a 03 donor 5spd down in Ga and drove last week to go get it.
Got the transmission axels and pedals out of the donor tonight. Plan on taking on my CVT removal starting tomorrow night.

    Hopefully things go smoothly

Very cool! Haven't seen any manual B6 cabs before (obv only came Auto) so this will be interesting. Did you buy that whole donor car? Are you parting it out afterwards ? If so, I could use some odds and ends pieces.

Yes I have the donor car parts up now and will be selling the CVT trans, it has a brand new TCM, it was clutch pack failure and I just don't have time, money or patience to do it. Well technically I don't have the tools either

Slow going process with home life and problems with removing parts, at this point I have removed, complete center console, axels, oil lines, and pedals. Need to get the starter out, then cracking loose bolts for the CVT.
Has anyone done this swap in a cabriolet yet, I have a few questions.
Bentley manual has no info on CVT transmission removal, some I'm kinda playing it by ear at this point.
Should I drop the main subframe?
Should I keep my ECU and code it, or use the Manual ECU (immobilizer?¿)

I'm pretty sure that the auto's have larger injectors and a different map than the manuals, I'd swap the ECU and cluster from the manual to the auto car.
