Do I need an AC evacuation/recharge?

The other day I did my timing belt and a bunch of other work, and to make things easier I remove the whole frontend. I disconnected the front left and right AC hoses. Do I need to do anything to the AC system now?

    Thanks,
    John

You need a recharge. Next time if you do the timing belt on your car or others, try to take it to a shop rather than releasing that into the environment. Just assuming you did that that and not the "right way".

You can recharge it yourself using a gram scale, a/c manifold gauge, and a vacuum pump, but a shop should be able to do it much quicker ~ 30 minutes for a proper vac and fill.

Thanks for letting me know. I didn't realize it was that harmful. I'll definitely do it right the next time.

And now you really should do a new dryer now that you've opened it up. Moisture in the refrigerant turns into an acid, and your dryer is no doubt saturated.
