Anyone have any tips or things to be wary of about rebuilding a B6 Recaro seat? There's a local set for sale but the passenger airbag is deployed and the seat switches are missing. The missing switches and control module are what concern me the most.

Seat switches are pretty easy to replace. I'm unfamiliar with the location of the control module on them. You might be able to take the items out of your current seat since there's a decent chance they're the same parts.

Person I bought them from so sold them after an aborted project, at some point in their life the wiring connector on the seat side was chopped off. Sigh, where's the wiring manual.......

Small price to pay I guess for being in otherwise excellent condition.

The deployed airbag should be your biggest concern. when the bag blows the seat cover gets ruined and often the seat frame gets bent.
