    Turbo Flutter

So I installed the CTS Turbo BOV tonight on my car and I went for a test drive. I realized a lot of turbo flutter when I let off the throttle and my CEL light came on. I thought it was a vacuum leak so I made sure they were all plugged in but then I realized I forgot to plug in the OEM DV plug into the control solenoid. I was driving normally then did a couple hard pulls to see if the flutter still existed. So my question is during my test drive after I installed the BOV, did the turbo sustain any potential damage since the air wasn't recirculating or venting to atmosphere because OEM plug not plugged in? I probably drove a total of 10 km during the drive.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I thought our engines aren't designed for BOV?

Its obviously hard to say for someone who's not a professional and is actually inspecting the turbo, but thousands have run setups with no BOV on a variety of turbos that flutter away all day without damage. I've run without a DV at all for a period of time on a TD04 and a T28 turbo, but can't say for sure if the K03 is somehow weaker and can't handle it the same. Considering the amount of flutter (compressor surge) as standard (you can hear it along with the stock DV on aftermarket intakes) I would say not to worry.
