Steering and suspension shop recommendations on Peninsula?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
With 135K miles on my 2002 B5 S4, I've realized I can no longer live with the increasingly vague steering and worn out original suspension.

Does anyone have a favorite shop that can diagnose steering and suspension issues, recommend budget-friendly upgrades/replacements, and do the install/align?

I'm in San Carlos and proximity would be helpful.

    Thanks!

No such thing as budget friendly when owning this type of car. Best bet is to wrench on it yourself to save the labor cost. Not that hard at all if you have worked on cars in the past. And there are lots of DIY's floating around on the forums, and internet. The car will feel so much better to drive with new suspension parts. If money is not a problem there are plenty of shops here in the Bay Area that specialize in Audi's. Here are a few shops to get you started. I have used most of the shops below for parts and services that I couldn't do myself.

    Repair/Tuner Shops:
-Euro Quattro - Mountain View, CA
    -Autowerkstat - San Jose, CA
    -034 Motorsports - Fremont, CA
    -JHM Motorsports - Lathrop, CA

    Alignment Shops:
-Custom Alignment - Mountain View, CA (Pricey but they are awesome at what they do. By appointment only)
-Auto Innovations - Milpitas, CA (Ask for Orlando the shop owner. Very affordable pricing)

Unfortunately I don't have wrench skills sufficient to diagnose steering/alignment/suspension issues.

    Thanks for the referrals.

Euro Quattro and Custom Alignment (both in Mountain View and close to one another) have worked on my B5, B6 and B8 since 2002 - both are somewhat pricey but do excellent service.
Euro Quattro 650-964-6066, Tony is the owner - can be gruff, that's his way, tell him I recommended - he can diagnose & replace worn out suspension parts.
Custom Alignment 650-961-5311, speak with Joe Silva owner - they can align after suspension repairs.
    Cheers
