LOW RANGE on my dashboard.

Hello.
For several days on my dashboard constantly lit LOW RANGE.

It's Audi Allroad C5 2.5 2001.
The message is there, although "Additional shift stage" is not enabled and the car goes normally.
This massag began to appear initially when I switch on the upper speed shift (1-3-5).
Before that everything was working normally and "Additional shift stage" work fine.
Now the message is constantly there and button for "Additional shift stage" is not working.
To start I'll check the cable from the controller to the button.

If anyone has any idea what this is about, help ...

probably nobody will since no USA allroad had this option, it is euro only and there is very very few of euro users here... If I had a guess though, it is electrical issue and you will have to look at diagrams and trace wires to see where short of break is.

Is your low range engaged or not? I'd guess it's a sensor problem.
