    Hey guys,

My name is Steen and I'm currently attending college for industrial engineering. Recently I bought an 2005 Audi A4 1.8t Ultrasport which I want to make into a project car that I could use as daily driver. This is my first project car and I do not have a deep background on working on cars, so wish me luck with the progress. I will be posting everything that I do to the car with the steps I took and the problems I experienced throughout the build. I'm always open to ideas from what you guys have experienced and what you think is better. Like I said I'm attending college right now so the best bang for my buck is the way I'm going to build this car, but at the same time I'm not going to rice the Audi. I will throw ideas of what I think I'm going to do to my car, but I would like to hear your guys opinions too. So here goes nothing!

check out Enfig for radio adapters. The way that the Bose systems are installed in this car, if you don't use the proper hookups, your rear speakers will be super low and barely audible.

If only I had the money to install a bigger turbo. I'm thinking about doing motor, diff, and trans mounts, new exhaust, test pipe, and motoza tuning for this summer.

First opinion, they are wheels, not rims. The dolphin grey looks beautiful with the Peelers from the S4/S5. I'm also a huge fan of just keeping the Ultrasport wheels you have on there already. Minor adjustment on suspension height and they'll look great.

These are the Peelers on the B6

    Those "wheels" look clean

I'm was thinking about saving up for rotiforms... but I going for the either the clean or aggressive look.

So Sunday I drove a totally of 10 hour there and back to picked up a set of rep RS 4 wheels off of craigslist for 300 bucks. Two of the rims have a slight bend, nothing to bad, I'm going to have a place in Cedar Rapids fix them and repaint them. I don't know if I should paint them back to the original color or go with a gloss black or matte black... Any ideas??? Also I just got the Alpine ILX-007 installed and running, I will try to get that posted up within the next week or so.

Anyone know of a good summer tire that is good with daily driving but also is good when doing track days??

    http://www.audizine.com/gallery/show...e=bend&cat=500

This is one of the bend on the front and the other rim has a slight bend on the back of the it probably an inch in length..

Maybe some type of bronze color. Nice selection on the wheels. Something like this

I think a nice silver looks good on dolphin grey. Gives it good contrast. Black matches nicely but after a while it just looks dull and you'll want some color in there.

    or even a white.

Good pick to start with an Ultrasport. I like the bronze color. Keep in mind that you're already working with a dark car in terms of body paint and tires. Maybe a smoked silver might work without having the wheels pop out at you.

I vote a matte color, you don't want something super glossy over your already dark car.
The bronze works well along with a lighter silver...no black

Yeah I'm really on the fence between the matte black and the silver, cause if I going to with the matte black I'm going to go with a more aggressive look and put some type of tredwear. If I go with the silver, I'm just going to keep in clean... It's just hard to make a decision cause I would like to make this a daily, track, and show car, but again this is my first build. Thanks for the input guys!! I'm going to put one of the wheels on the car with the way they are and plasti dip the other one to get an idea before I go powder coat them.

its totally personal preference but i have matte black. Loved it when i first did it, hate it now. Really makes the car look dull and lifeless. Heres a pic. I think pics look great but when you see it everyday its just blah

edit: dug up an old pic of the same wheels in silver, Granted its old and it had less done to it, the wheels are just so much nicer and you can actually see what they look like.

What front bumper do you have?? yeah, only reason I'm thinking the black is because when I bought it, it have the side blinkers, windows, and tail lights blacked out.

I think those wheels would of looked good with a chrome lip and black center. I just like to stick out from the crowd though haha, but again it's pretty easy to stick out in Iowa with an Audi

they actually make them in that combo, im not a fan of the look at all though. Looks like some pep boys or cheap local tire shop wheels to me.

as stated before, its all personal preference, if you like it, go for it. everyone has a different taste/style. I like a nice clean aggressive look and the black wheels just get lost making it look dull for me.

Hey guys, here my install of the Alpine ILX-007 overall the install was pretty easy but I do recommend if you are going to install your own radio get your supplies from enfigcarstereo.com.

For this picture I found a usb extension at bestbuy for about 20-30 bucks. All I did was cutout the cigarette outlet, then JB welded the usb extension so that would move or pop out.

Here the supplies I got from enfig, if you have any questions about the radio you are installing just call or email them and they will give a list of the supplies that you need for the setup you are going with.

Bought the microphone off of ebay since when I bought this radio all I got with it was the harness which I didn't use either. The mic cost about 15 buck on ebay pretty cheap and works fine from what I have heard.

Here's it all install and put back together, overall I'm super happy with the enfig dash kit because it looks oem with the finish on it and doesn't look like cheap walmart kits that you can get.

Here's the dash in better light, the finish looks great with everything like I said it's pretty much the OEM finish. I highly recommend enfig and they have great customer service also

This weekend I got a little sneak peak at what the wheels would look like on the car. I will say I'm pretty happy with them, also I just got my tires in today.
Hopefully I will get this wheel put on soon!! Also if you guy want to know I bought a set of 235/35R19 Hankook Ventus Evos. I will review them over time and tell you
guys what I think about the tires and thanks for the support!

Black wheels make the car look really dated... 8 years ago they looked good.. today I would say stick with silver... Not a fan of the smoked lights either.. once again... It just looks dated...

Personally I think it makes it more aggressive of a look but we all have our opinions.
