    Hey guys.

Just a quick general question. I am trying to attach my THule universal snowboard carrier to some whispbars via the track.

following the instructions they say to put the bolt onto the carrier and then slide it into the track then tighten down.. but i had issues pushing it onto the track. should i take them off, slide them inot the track then put the rack ontop then tighten?

how have you guys done it? whats the best/easiest order of operations for this.

whispbars t track fitting; general question

I actually have wisp bars and I think universal Yakima snowboard carriers. Not sure if it's exactly the same as yours but I didn't put the bolt through first, I put the clamps over the bar and then put the bolt on and tightened. It doesn't fit 100% perfect but it does the job done. I can take a picture of the setup later if needed.

I know realize what you're talking about and that's not what mine are.. Sorry!

But for the t track you should be able to keep the bolt on but loose and slide it in the end after taking off the rubber. And then tighten once in place

I'd recommend getting Thule Aeroblade Edge bars, that would fix the problem...

That or go to Home Depot and find a bolt that would work.

i got it all to work just fine, just a matter of order of operations.

i pushed the bolts into place in the whispbars t-track first then just plopped the snowboard rack on top and locked it all down. easy peasy.

that's the exact part that was giving me trouble. when i was pushing it onto the bars it was bunching up the rubber and making it super hard to push. I took the bolts off, slide them in place and installed the snowboard carrier last. worked like a charm.
