Morning all!
My father and I are stuck like chuck trying to fix his car. 44k miles and it started making a clicking noise and loss of power, chains are loose. We think that there isn't oil pressure going to the bolt. But wouldn't there be a oil pressure warning light on the dash?
I'll try to upload a video that I took a few weeks ago. I'm not too sure what he moved while we were diagnosing it, but he said he turned the variable valve timing adjuster so it would stop clacking at idle.

These were when it was on the lift and we were looking for the issue. Cams don't show any wear and the chain guides that we were able to see up top looked fine. Just no tension on the chain.
[Edit]
Could the noise be because of the camshaft adjuster?
