I have tried this as well and I am having the same problem. It appears that there is two types of cables.

Hi, did you ever fix this problem? If so, what did you use...
I have exactly the same issue.

Yes, apparently it was the cable issue. I bought another one from Amazon for earlier MMI version . It works.

Don't suppose you have a link to which lead is the correct one? Or the differences between the two...

I have the OEM Audi cable plus the required converter - setup works perfectly if you'd be interested in buying them from me...

It's just the cable I need as I already bought the convertor.
Yes that would be great thanks!

Anyway you can pass that along my way as well? I just bought this cable off amazon and got the same " AMI not supported"

Hassi, are you saying there are different AMI RCA cables for MMI 3G and also for MMI 2G, which look the same? Where did you bought the MMI 2G RCA?

I have the same problem. When i connect the AMI RCA, the car acknowledges the connection but MMI shows "not supported" behind AMI. I have 2009 C6 with MMI 3G High. Similarly to Hassi, I want to mirror my phone to MMI screen through RCA.

I would really appreciate if anyone could give me any advice on the subject.
