Taking home your stock exhaust

Hey guys,

I have an appointment on Thurs to install my Corsa exhaust, but I've read that taking the stock exhaust home can be a pain. For those of you who have installed exhausts at a shop, how did you take your stock one home? Did you have to cut it? If so, where is the ideal place to make the cuts?

I had to borrow my neighbors truck. Wouldn't fit in my moms caravan either. I didn't want to cut it so I can install later. It's pretty massive.

I returned to the shop with my buddy's pick up truck. I left him my Audi.

installed myself with jack stands. not difficult.

I'm getting mine installed at the end of the month. I'll take wifey's sorento next day to pick up. Thanks for letting me know. I thought it would fit if the seats were down.

The guy at the shop I go to has a truck so he dropped it off at my place which was near where he lived. They offered to keep it and throw it out, kind of wish I let them. This thing is a sight for sore eyes on my porch lol.

Used a f150 but even that struggled to hold the exhaust

I would check the measurements first. I couldn't get my exhaust to fit into our Pathfinder, and that was slightly bigger than our Sorento. Needed the open bed of a pick up to get it home.

The shop cut it in 3 for me and I put it in the trunk over some cardboard

had mine cut in half. I told the shop they'd be welding it back together so they're free to choose a spot they'll be able to fix after lol.

I picked one up and cut it at the rear pipes by the center res. You have to unbolt the rear pipes at the bracket also. Becomes 3 pieces. The stock couplers work if you don't want to weld it back together also.

It will fit in your car with the seats down and the mufflers hanging out of your trunk. There was a thread on here where someone posted a picture of it. Totally up to you if you want the whole exhaust system running through your interior and probably in between the front seats. Bring some towels to wrap around the pipes.

Just wedged it in mai trunk and hung the rest out the back. Make sure to tie a red flag to the muffler tip.

I used my Ford explorer and put it on the roof rack. Any suv or crossover with a roof rack will work just fine. just get some bungee cords

UHaul baby. Fits in a regular sized van. Was probably better off just ditching it though lol.

My pops lets me store it in his shed. Grateful because my garage doesn't have room for it.

My buddy and I did it at his shop when I did the Magnaflow originally. We just cut it in half below the center resonator and split the bar holding the rear sections together. Fit in the trunk, was easy to have welded back together when I returned it to stock and did the H pipe instead.

Between the resonator and the muffler there is actually marker that indicate exactly where to cut.
