    The first. Year in the winter I noticed the dreaded brake squeeled, this year at 7200? Miles have heard it only 5 times all winter.

    Yeah once it warms up you shouldnt hear it... Its when it gets 40 degrees and lower... The colder it gets the louder it gets! The other day this girl said " Nice car!" Then I took off and that bastard sounded like a 93 Corolla leaving the parking lot... SMH

    Mine was similar a few years ago and dealer replaced rotors, pads and caliper mounts under warranty. Went away until last week and it's just starting to come back. Mine also doesn't care what the temp is outside.

    Mine are horrible now as well and it doesn't matter the temp. Tried emergency braking from high speeds a few times and it only shuts them up temporarily until the squeaking comes back with a vengeance. Guess it's a good excuse to upgrade rotors and pads....
    Good riddance to squealing AND all the brake dust!

    If the OEM rotors are still good, has anyone had luck eliminating the squeal by just replacing the pads with Akebono or EBCs?

    I have never had squeal before but I did change to Akebonos with factory rotors and didnt have an issue at all this winter. Not a peep out of them.

    Something that helped my sequel a lot was putting some anti-sequel brake goop on the back of the pads. That said, the REALLY COLD weather still brings it out sometimes. A month or so ago, I pulled into my brother's driveway and he asked, "Is there something wrong with your car?"

    My garage was about 65 degrees this morning. My brakes squealed for a few minutes until the car got up to temp. Once it sat outside in 80deg heat, no more noise.

    My brakes squealed in all temps, even summer in CA so it's definitely not dependent on temperature...

    Switched to Akebono pads and new rotors immediately and the squeal is gone, thank god, shit was unbearable.

    Put on any brand of ceramic pads. Not only will the squeal be gone but the black break dust will also be gone. Best thing I have done on this car.

    That's another tip: pressure washing (manual car wash) your wheels removes brake dust, which can cause resonance, which can cause squealing.
