    ArmyTrix Exhaust, owner feedback needed

Before i get the third degree on posting this thread, I have searched on these forums along with a few of the other forums so Im looking for some newer feedback or more specific hopefully.

Iv read about the build quality and some of the "cons" the exhaust has dealing with FI and open and closed valves. Im not concerned about big gains on the S5, the sound exhaust note is whats kinda sealed the deal. Iv listent to quite a few different exhausts for the car and nothing sounds quite like it.

My question is about longevity and if it can hold up to the test of time. Im willing to drop $4k for an intoxicating sound on my daily driver but I wanted to see if anyone has had issues with theirs since purchase.

Thanks in advance any help you guys can be.

Not sure what vechile you own, but if your thinking about dropping 4k for an exhaust, buy a capristo. Can't compare to the sound note, build quality and great customer service.

Hey Zerafian, I actually am running the Armytrix Exhaust on my 09 Audi S5. I have not been disappointed since the install, which i did about 9 months ago myself. The fitment went on alright and wasn't to difficult. Had to cut one of the pipes about 1" shorter to make the fit perfect. After a recommended shop including my dealership quoted me anywhere from $800 - $1,100 just to route the vacuum line, I later installed and routed it myself which took about 3 hours and cost a total of $35. Anyway, no sooner had i driven it down the road from the shop i rented a lift, An STI pulled up next to me and complimented the sound of my car. I love the sound of the exhaust with the valves open. Evidently it seems that most people do and don't mind telling me. In nine months I havn't run the auto mode and i have only run the valves closed when i'm driving through my neighborhood early in the morning on my way to work. There is little to no drone on the highways. Its incredible listening to the sound when driving next to the median barriers or through tunnels. I haven't had any mechanical problems w/ it. I haven't had a problem with customer service except when trying to look at how to install. I believe most people bring it to shops though and they are probably busy w/ orders. No hard feelings. I haven't had it dyno'd and don't know what i would pull. Im imagining valves open probably an increase, valve closed no increase. Plus, for safety, i believe Armytrix put in a program at 5k RPM's to automatically open the valves. This is just my opinion. This is just my personal experience. I don't know how everyone else likes or dislikes theirs. There are a lot of good exhausts out there (Kline, Capristo, AWE, Meisterschaft, etc) but i haven't heard any in person so i'm not going to compare or try to. I have heard my Armytrix though and I wouldn't go any other way. Hope this helps, If you got any questions just let me know.

I almost went with Armytrix on 2011 S5. All my research indicated positives. They make pipes for some seriously high $ stuff so I doubt you have anything to worry about.
