    Any Q7-specific vag-com mod lists?

    Hey gents,

As the title suggest, I'm hoping there is a good vagcom list for the Q7 specifically, I've done a fair amount of searching and haven't found a good one. I've attempted a bunch of recoding that I already did on my RS5 but it appears many of the bytes/bits and adaption channels don't align. Thanks for any help

thanks iconoclast - much appreciated. I'll have a try at some of these...quite a smaller amount of known mods compared to the B8/8.5 platform, damn. Maybe I'll spend some time poking around in vcds to see if I can find any others! I'll post what I find here.

unfortunately so and some of the changes are not available on NAR vehicles. the oil gauge, the battery meter, the tilt/angle screen, auto-fold mirrors, etc. are not available because the hardware is not in place. stay away from the rear view camera module. once you enter it with the security code it will lose it's adaptation and the only way to restore it is buy the calibration tool, fabricate one at home or visit the dealer. NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.

the 4L Q7 platform goes back to 2006 but it was built off of an older electronics platform going back to 2002. a lot has changed in nearly a decade and a half but in that time only a handful of people were curious as us here so the knowledge base is rather sparse and not as concentrated as the B8/8R platform. the new 4M platform is not supported currently by Ross-Tech but a few Audi Enthusiasts have started pooling together their resources and coming up with minor tweaks and hacks but to get further involved may require a hex-net unit. when i spoke with RT last they said r&d / tech team is on it but nothing is available yet.

if i may offer some advice, be careful poking around the EU exclusive options and the green engineering mode. some changes are irreversible without a dealer visit and others may trigger a cascade of faults which is extremely tedious and time consuming to undo. a while back i owned a 2012 S-Line Prestige Q7 and i wanted some features enabled and while my coding was accurate i found out that the hardware on our vehicle does not support or is not installed. i could only revert the system back to stock by having the entire MMI rebooted by the dealer through geko/main connection. roughly nine hours labor.

I lowered our '15 q7 with vagcom with no issues and wondering if anyone has done anything with the new q7 yet? I'd really love to give it a slight drop... Might put my rs7 wheels on it when my HREs come in.

that is my plan... rs7 wheels or the 4L rotor wheels either should bolt up just fine and without issue.
i have decide if i am going to move forward on the new Q7 or pass on it my promotion/discount expires on the 31st.
the new Q7 uses different modules and coding that the hex-can unit isn't 100% compatible with but the hex-net i believe is.
congratulations on getting it done without issue. how low did you go? if you went lower than 10mm or so i would get an alignment.
the tires on these already get killed on the inner shoulder and not adjusting after lowering will increase the wear. YMMV.

Not sure how that is going to work without adapters.
    4L Q7 uses 5x130 with a 71.6mm center bore
    4M Q7 uses 5x112 with a 66.6mm center bore (just like B8/B9 A4/S4 &RS7)
