unfortunately so and some of the changes are not available on NAR vehicles. the oil gauge, the battery meter, the tilt/angle screen, auto-fold mirrors, etc. are not available because the hardware is not in place. stay away from the rear view camera module. once you enter it with the security code it will lose it's adaptation and the only way to restore it is buy the calibration tool, fabricate one at home or visit the dealer. the 4L Q7 platform goes back to 2006 but it was built off of an older electronics platform going back to 2002. a lot has changed in nearly a decade and a half but in that time only a handful of people were curious as us here so the knowledge base is rather sparse and not as concentrated as the B8/8R platform. the new 4M platform is not supported currently by Ross-Tech but a few Audi Enthusiasts have started pooling together their resources and coming up with minor tweaks and hacks but to get further involved may require a hex-net unit. when i spoke with RT last they said r&d / tech team is on it but nothing is available yet.
if i may offer some advice, be careful poking around the EU exclusive options and the green engineering mode. some changes are irreversible without a dealer visit and others may trigger a cascade of faults which is extremely tedious and time consuming to undo. a while back i owned a 2012 S-Line Prestige Q7 and i wanted some features enabled and while my coding was accurate i found out that the hardware on our vehicle does not support or is not installed. i could only revert the system back to stock by having the entire MMI rebooted by the dealer through geko/main connection. roughly nine hours labor.
