In The Market For a B8 S4 - What to look for

Hi everyone, I am currently on the hunt for a B8 S4. I am a previous Honda Guru and have been a fan of Audis for longest since my parents owned them. I recently test drove one and fell in Love with it. I just wanted to get an idea of what to look out for when purchasing a used B8. It seems to me that the best route is to look for a 2013 or newer. I was looking at one that had 90K and it drove great, but 90k is alot and im not too sure about major issues that come about with these kind of miles. Not sure what the common issues are with these cars and around what mileage they happen at. I did read that the 2013+ models have the improved parts that seem to be an issue with the previous years.

I do want to mod whatever i pick up and plan on going with an apr stage 2 setup. I do have some machenical knowledge and im not afraid to DIY with some things on the car. I currently sold my RSX with a 420 whp blower setup. Car was great but since i am in the chicagoland area i need something i can drive year round. I appreciate any input you can provide.

carfax. Carbon build up. Pulley belt wear and tear. I think that's what I read. But 90k is a lot of expensive stuff to replace.
C7 Z06 3LZ - AMR Long tube header and exhaust, Halltech Intake, tune.
    B8.5 S4 - Daily commuter. IE Stage 2 ECU/TCU, IE intake
AP1 S2k (glass rear window) Black with full red interior - all suspension mods - SCCA car
Evo VIII - AEM EMS, Cosworth Cams, intake, Whiteline front and rear sway bars, exhaust, etc., etc., etc..

There is an Audi Chat feature on the Audi web site. By all means, get the VIN# of the vehicle you are looking at and share this with the folks on the chat. They can then email you the original window sticker. It was a huge help to me when comparing several different versions from Carmax.

Midnight_Rider : thanks for the suggestions. Yea i figured that getting a car with 90K then adding additional HP to it isnt the best idea. Im just hoping that i can do the gerneral upkeep myself instead of taking it to a dealer. I did basically all my work on my Hondas, from motor swapping, clutch replacment, to custom super charger install. But just dont really want to get to indepth with an s4. basic bolt ons and ecu tuning along with lowering springs. Thats about it.

goodolebot : thanks for that i will for sure look into that with whatever car i look into.

Also does can anyone share insight on the rear diff? I remember reading the 13+ came with a better diff. I would want to get an auto trans , is there any issues with these transmissions?

Can anyone point me to good websites to shop for aftermarket parts for the S4? not familiar with which companies provide for the euro cars.
