Remote Lock/Unlcock not working so well.

I replaced the battery in my 2007 A3 Key Fob, but I am still having sensitivity issues with my remote entry and locking system on the car.

Is there a sensor that I can replace or check? Where is it located? What is it even called? Any help is appreciated, thanks. - YelloSno

I am having the same problem with the 2012. Dealer says there's nothing wrong, because there's no code. The device/sensor/chirper? is located in the right rear wheel well.
I don't know what it's called, I shamed him into replacing it by telling him if it didn't fix it I'd pay.
Now I'm having a new issue, when I do the remote lock all windows raise except the driver side rear. Did the VAG-COM seat belt chime and windows up and down with the FOB last summer.

this is nuts. Sometimes my car will lock, open and sometimes it wont. The key also unlocked the hatch, but that can be selective. I called ECS tuning this weekend to see if they sell anything replacement sensors or whatnot, but they didn't even know if there was anything available.

I will check my right rear wheel well, strange place for a sensor but I will see what I can find. I never could figure out how all the windows would slide up/down with the key fob, then again I have an older 2007 model.

Thanks for the reply... good luck with troubleshooting.

I had this issue as well. When I replaced the battery however, the doors would lock/unlock again. EXCEPT, the driver rear door does not want to lock. Is there a latch, or something inside the door that could be the issue there? Or is it more than likely an electrical issue?

    YellowSno80,

all windows up/down can be coded with VAG-COM. Then you can lower all windows with your FOB by pressing and holding the unlock button, windows up with the lock button.
