    Anyone know if it'l work on the b5? All buttons including the trunk popper (does the avant have a trunk popper?).

    I need a 3 button key, might as well get a newer style if itl work.

    Ive seen a vid of an s4 with a b7 key couldn't find details about it though.

    Is there a way to check with vcds if the car is receiving a signal from the fob?

    Yes there is, and no..the B7 key transmits on the wrong frequency. It can be used on the A4 starting in late 2003'.

    Yes to vcds? How? All i see are 1s and 0s none of them seem to change when i click the working fob.

    The b7 style key is available in both 433mhz and 315mhz. Same as b5. Just not sure if it transmits the same commands.

    Nope. Unless you install a b5 lock pump.

    I guess i should've made the title better, i meant "b7 type/style key to work on a b5" like below. Not sure if he used a b7 ccm or just bought the correct frequency key available in ebay/aliexpress
