    Fog Lights Glued in Place?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I recently bought a used 2013 A4 and I decided to upgrade the stock fog lights.

I ordered a pair of Hoen Xenonmatch lights and got ready to install them using the instructions here.

However when I moved the wheel well cover, I found that the lights were glued in place. Has anyone else had this issue?

    LOL, What the fuck.

It looks like silicone. Maybe the previous person ripped or tore the weather seal and was too lazy to fix it... so they "fixed" it. Is it only on that side?

Pop the covers off from the front, take out the screws for the fog light, and take a heatgun to that mess.

I just changed my fog lights today in my 2013, they were simply a quarter turn to the right to remove

Thats pretty much what I said.

Honestly, I didnt even check the other side. Saw that and figured there was no point if I could do both.

I have never heard that before, has always been twist and pull the bulb out of the housing.
