Need shoes for my lady in red.

I'm having a tough time trying to figure out what color wheels would work on my Red RS7 with aluminum trim. I have black winter wheels on them right now and while it doesn't look bad, I want something with a bit more pop. The trim is oddly the thing that's throwing me for the biggest loop. Will satin bronze wheels be a weird contrast? Brighter aluminum wheels contrast too much with the trim?

So I ask you, group of Audiphiles, what should I consider?

    Halp.

Were it me, I would look for the closest match to all the silver (mirror caps, front grill, window trim) that I could find in a style size that you like the most.

+2 to Dad A3. I think the only way to pull the other colors off would be to black out the trim.

I think the obvious choice is brushed aluminum.

I think a brushed aluminum lip/barrel and a darker (charcoal/gray) face could also work. Whatever you do, don't go with a polished lip/barrel as it is a PITA to keep clean

I too am in favor of the brushed aluminum for your car. It'll match the silver accents and pop with the lady in red. Here's a shot of HRE's clear brushed with the satin colored mirrors on a white car with red accents:

You have brushed aluminum accents, but you also have a fair amount of dark highlights (grill, tint, the area surrounding the radar cameras, etc). I think you could very easily do a light gray (gunmetal) color and still come away with a cohesive look. Something in a matte aluminum color would also work well, but frankly I don't think it's necessary. The window trim, mirror covers, front grill surround, and the aluminum "air" scoops or whatever calls those things all compliment each other. Adding 21" of wheel face to that isn't really necessary and I don't think a darker wheel would look out of place.

Brushed Aluminum...to match the mirrors, door trim and grille insert. I like wheels that compliment the entire car...I don't like wheels that stand out so much they distract from the car. IE...don't go optic neon green.

I shot you an email a little earlier. I agree with the brushed setup. Meshes perfectly with the Aluminum trim. Give me a shout when you can! In the mean time, here are some we have done recently.

Agree with brushed. Embrace those accents. Dark doesn't do that. I'm also not seeing how a white car with gold rims has any relevance.

Do you like these? I just put them on last week and I'm not in love with them, I think they are a little too dark on my Glacier white. They are the new Ultra light wheel by Forgeline with hidden titanium fasteners. Centers are a dark gunmetal which was a one off color that they don't normally offer, lips are polished with clear coat and inners are powder coated the same color as the centers. I was thinking to just have them redone in a lighter shade but I'm going to go with a new mono block wheel instead. They are 21x9.5 square with 275/30/21 EVO 2 tires.

These are the second iteration of the RSQuattro wheels:

You can use the link above to quote any sizing, finish, styles, etc. by adding it to your cart and selecting Quote Only shipping. I will then email back a quote with pricing and all pertinent information.

It's a damn sexy OE plus forged wheel. Why I opted for these wheels on the Allroad project but in the the filled SL style:

    RSQ2 SL Forged Wheel Sets

If anyone has questions or needs on these wheels don't hesitate to let me know via PM or email: [email protected]
