Hi All,
Thanks to this forum I have read back pages re: current TDI issues and forthcoming possible scenarios of recall/buyback/fix
A local dealer has an '14 TDI white color with brown interior I think it's the premium plus. Priced at 37K with 52k miles. Because of current status the Q5 can't be CPO which does give only limited warranty per dealer.
I drove the vehicle and really liked it, however the sales associate was not correct with some of his answers to my questions regarding current TDI status. It was obvious he either wasn't informed or was outright fibbing. No Matter- this is what sales types do....
I spoke at length with a sales manager and said given the current limbo status of the vehicle I was probably not going to go forward with the purchase; and this was too bad as I did like the unit in question. I then told him that after certain deadlines it may become apparent to either buy or not based on Audi/US fed responses. It may take quite some time from what I can tell.
Given all this, would you encourage or discourage the purchase of this model at this time? I suspect they might drop the price further- but I doubt very much more. Potential headache down the road?
Or do you trust Audi-Feds to get #@it together to the benefit of owners any time in the next year (or two)...
Cheers,
RW
