    Hey NuGGet,
Is this all from a 4.2 equipped C5? I'm looking for an intake manifold. Specifically the Intake Swirl Flap bushings. But they're kind a bear to remove from the intake, so I'm generally looking for the intake.

    Hope you have it!

    Aah! Bummer!
Yea, I'm sure that's the case. Waay too common of an issue to not have an aftermarket part. I just don't get it.
I suppose that gives me motive to continue trying to machine these swirl flap bushings myself!

    -Thanks

I know GruvenParts makes the intake arms, not sure what you're talking about though, I'm a 2.7 guy lol.

Yea, I saw GruvenParts made the arm. I thought about submitting a CAD drawing of the part to them to see if they can machine it. But I'm thinking for how much they're asking for a silly arm, I can't imagine how much they would charge for the bushing!
Here's the bushings, on your car: (there's two of them on the A6, only one on the S6)

Here's the part drawing in CAD I drew up:

And here's the an Intake Manifold Rapair Kit, with the bushing. (It's the only way you can buy the part "aftermarket" although all "aftermarket" of these are made by VW and gouge you on price. They only come in a kit, too:

Ridiculously expensive. This bushing should be a $20 part. I'm really surprised there's not something truly aftermarket for these, since they seize up so much and can be damaged so easily when removed.
I suppose I'll keep making my own. I'll have to release the CAD file once I find I've got the proper measurements and fit..
Ah well. If I don't work for it hard enough, I won't appreciate it as much, right? At least that's the philosophy that keeps me going
