Does anybody know what bulbs are used in the new 2016 a3's I had one as a loaner and loved the light output and color temperature, it was much brighter and had more of a blue but not to much, it was a noticeable difference between the 4300k that I had. I'm sure some of it had to do with the projector

Reminded me a lot of the headlights in my exes Toyota Corolla s

Not sure about A3s but Osram CBI are commonly used as they are quality and have a slightly higher temperature to give a slight blue tint without lowering the lumen output. I ran them on my B6 and loved them and I am about to order a set for my xenon swap on my B8 I highly recommend them. If you do want a set just be sure not to order fake ones from China off eBay , you'll know if their real by price and country of origin. I think last I checked I had found some being shipped from UK for like 70 or 80 a piece or something like that.

I'v also driven the new A3 as a loaner and loved the lights. No sure about the Audi magic there but wait till you try the 2016 Q3's lights, so much brighter than the A3's. Almost night and day. But when it comes to headlights, I believe it more has to do with the projector and unit itself than color temp.

Also the bulb brand makes a big difference. I have Morimoto D3S bulbs and I love the color and light output.
