Separating Bose sub signal to rca

Hello, I am doing some audio work on my 2000 s6 and need some wiring help. I try here since the b5 Bose system is the same.

Basicly I have installed a parrot smart head unit using the stock Bose system for now with a RCA adapter.
However I am looking to upgrade the front speakers with some focal speakers that I power directly from the head unit, then I want to still keep the rear door Bose speakers using the rear rca outputs on the parrot.
This is easy and no problem, however.

I want to separate the bose sub, this is using a separate amp I believe? And connect this to the sub RCA outputs on the parrot for more control. This should be possible? But what wires do I use, and do I need to run wires from the sub amp to the headunit or are they already located in the loom?

So in short today the rear doors and sub's are connected to one pair of rca plugs, I want to if possible seperate the sub to a second pair of RCA plugs, anyone know if this is possible?

The stock Avant Bose system has the head unit with 4 line level channels (LF, RF, LR, RR) out to a 4.1 amp located on the sub. The split for the sub is internal to the amp.

The way you should run this is with all 4 line level channels from the Parrot should connect to the existing harness and carry all 4 channels to the amp. The amp can then split the low frequency out to drive the sub. However, the front speakers should be disconnected from the factory harness and instead be connected directly to the Parrot head unit speaker outputs.

^this guy did a write-up on installing a sub on a B6 Bose setup, which has the same 25-pin connector to the amp in the trunk as the B5. I used it to install a sub while retaining stock stereo functionality... using the connector pin-out diagram, I spliced the LR and RR channels inline on the harness about 20 cm before the connector going into the amp (four splices, peel back the insulation) and sent two RCA cables to my sub amp. That way I kept my stock subs in the rear deck functional as well.

*Also, I believe all outputs from the factory head unit are full range so you can splice LR RR or LF RF. The Bose amp has internal crossover for the stock subs.

The OP's issue is that he would like to control the subs input from the head unit. Remember that the Avant system already has a sub in addition to the door speakers. (4.1 layout) The amp itself is mounted on the sub enclosure and the feed to the sub amp channel is internal to the amplifier. There is no external sub input. I guess I should have been clearer as to why he can't use the sub RCA output directly. Now if he's good with electronics, he might be able to reverse engineer the amp to determine the spots to tap into on the circuit board to feed the sub channel directly. That's beyond my skill set.

BTW, the non-Bose Avant also has subwoofer. In this case it's a 4.2 system. 2 channels are powered from the head unit. LR and RR are passed at line level to the amp mounted on the sub. 2 channels are then used on that amp to power the rear doors. A low pass filter sends it to that amp's other two channels to power a single dual voice coil subwoofer.

Ended up doing a full new stealth install as its not possible to seperate the sub signal, as its internal.
