I like the understated look of the S4. I took a friend of mine for a ride and asked if he wanted to see how quick the supercharger launches this car. It's always fun to see the reaction!

Basically anyone present in the car when you launch is surprised. Made one friend nauseous with the LC. I was surprised when I first launched ithe considering I was coming from a FWD car.

FWD cars are notorious for their horrible lack of traction. No comparison to a RWD or especially an AWD car.

Very true. But until you make the switch and feel it first hand you canto truely grasp it, even after riding in friends Subaru. I think the S4 makes it even more noticeable because the torque comes in so low.

I haven't tried the launch control on my new '16 S4 because I don't have many miles on the car yet. However, I once sent a friend to the chiropractor because of sore neck after demonstrating the launch control in the '12 GT-R I had at the time.

I really enjoy the way an all-wheel drive car can get off the line. I traded a Camaro ZL-1 in on the S4 and I enjoy how the Audi gets off the line compared to the Z. Even with 305 wide rear tires the Camaro struggled for traction in first and second gear.

Everyone's reaction is about the same: "Holy sh*t, this thing is ridiculous!" None of my buddies have ever been in an Audi before until I bought mine, they all wanna ride in the S4 now lol

It's always fun when you can pin a passenger to the seat with acceleration, and watch their feet swim.

All my friends either drives 1000 hp cars, or electric cars. So, not really. They do like the leather and the comfort feature. Like the speakers.

Haha whats up bro how U been!? What year S4 are you upgrading to? I just picked up a 2012. I hated the steering in the S5 and couldn't go back to that style again.

True but I can't put my finger on why it feels different. Maybe its psychological that a heavy luxury car can turn on beast mode like that after cruising in comfort mode. Also Subaru doesn't have LC stock and just the way the Audi pauses when you drop the brakes in LC mode and then takes off. The S4 also feels a bit more read biased than Subaru's I have been in

So far my favorite is "wtf?!? Do it again" 4k launch with APR stg2, priceless.

He has a 600 WHP mustang and was blown away by the AWD launch.

Subaru's are run of the mill for 4 cylinder turbo cars, they are nothing special. Look at any turbo 4, and the torque numbers are all about the same.

I think the turbo delivery is more of an on/off switch which changes the perception of having more power than they really do.

I love the fact this thing looks so under stated, unless you're a car guy you really have no idea.

Never claimed they were special, I had one that was very fast and fun to drive. I do miss it.

Woopty fucking doo. You can get good numbers out of them and they are a reliable awd car. It was a figure of speach. Speed on dude.

I'm actually not really that impressed with mine. Looking forward to getting the dual pulley e85 setup. Hopefully that will do it for me. The b5 is more dramatic

it's hard to beat a turbo for rate of torque climb as the engine revs. Our cars kind of sneak up on you with the linerar power delivery, but a mean turbo motor whacks you in the back of the head all at once. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but a good turbo motor cab be a hell of a thrill ride

The launch control on S4 is really good. I was impressed with it. Had an AEM EMS two step on my Evo, and very different. Very subtle, but really takes off.

It might be the gear ratio too.
