Got a lot done with the app (Carista) but looking for a few things that the app can't do yet:
DSR
DVD in motion

Any one that can show me the ways and allow/walk me through on how to use his/her cable?

Wow, this app and adapter look really interesting. What kind of thing vs can it do as far as mods in the Audi?

So is it 40 dollars for the cable, then another 20 for the app?

Nope. It's 40 for the free app and the bluetooth transmitter. No cables. There's also the paid version of the app as well.

To be fair, you can buy a cheaper dongle on ebay or amazon and will work exactly the same.
